Soccer is probably one of the most popular if not the most watched sport in the world. Contrary to the belief that racing is the most watched sport worldwide, there is little to no truth behind this calculation. While the estimated attendance average is higher than soccer by some act of man, televised soccer is not taken into account. The U.S. is the one counter example where soccer is a popular sport but not the most popular sport in the whole country. In Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, soccer is life. Soccer is very popular in these countries due the fact that one merely needs a ball to play with. Goal posts can be made from anything that can resemble a marker and players do not even need shoes to play a game. While some countries are under the belief that it is simply not even humane to play without shoes, footwear is mere complimentary item that does not have to be used. The large viewing of soccer makes it one of the most popular sports to play and watch on television as the amount of professional soccer around the world is abundant.

The professional leagues of soccer make it a symbol for all soccer players professional or amateur to look up to. For current professionals, there is always the next level to look up to and to better one’s self. For amateurs playing the game for fun, the professional or even semi-pro level is always something to try and achieve. This level of soccer is the highest level-the pro level. Being a pro does not necessary mean that a person is world class. World class is not a phrase that is necessarily used all the time and should not be used by players that are at the world class level. This phrase should not be used by players at the aforementioned level because it is would seem very boastful, cocky, or another person may think this player thinks he or she is above the game in itself. A world class team is very hard to find although there is usually one in every pro league in the world. It is the most known or one of the most heard about-heralded-teams in the country or league and sports or carries a roster of some of the best players that the select league, country, or even the world has to offer. These teams are very well known and to even mention one of these teams is sure to incite an all out conversation about their merits, accomplishments, and their occasional mishaps.
