Buying a Neoprene Wetsuit

Posted in Uncategorized on April 30th, 2009

Neoprene wetsuits are made from two types of material WRC and PU printing. WRC stands for water repellent coating. Water repellent chemicals are used in WRC suits, usually on the top half only. Due to the fabric absorbing less water the wetsuit will be much lighter and warmer. Using a process called PU printing the neoprene is made more durable by increasing the resistance to damage by abrasion. Batwings are used in most expensive wetsuits, batwings are thin pieces of neoprene that are sewn inside the zipper to prevent the entry of cold water, thus making the wetsuit warmer and more comfortable.
