Dealing With Uninsured Drivers On The Road
Posted in Uncategorized on August 31st, 2009
Uninsured drivers are generally unsafer and more likely to be drunk. They also cause one accident every six months. Actually, 5% of drivers make it a habit of driving with no coverage. Some people do not have auto insurance, in fact, one in ten of all motorists have been in an accident with people who are uninsured drivers. The question is what to do if you’re involved in an accident with one?
At the time of the accident you’re unlikely to realize that the other driver is uninsured so you’ll have to react in the normal way. See the car’s make, model, and insurance number and spend time recording it. Furthermore memo the other driver’s name and address, but whether he’ll give you his right facts is possibly doubtful! Nevertheless, always record what the other driver says. If you want to get a refund, then you will need to show your receipt.
