Preparations For Epoxy Paint Floors
Posted in Uncategorized on March 31st, 2009
It is important to have the protection for your hands, body and face when you want to use epoxy paint on your floors. It’s not that you will be under some big threat, but these are still chemicals you will be working with. So you have to use goggles, gloves, and overalls to protect you.
More than yourself, you also have to prepare the epoxy flooring prior to application. We would all like that this operation is a bit more simple, but it isn’t. You are going to need a stiff broom and a pressure washer in order to clean the whole area of your garage floor.
You will need to apply a solution to etch the garage floor epoxy before you start with the painting. For the paint to bond properly and seep into the concrete, you will have to do this. And now the paint will not stick to anything at all, no matter how hot it is outside. The solution is also used to totally get rid of small dusts on the floor, thus cleaning it deeper. This makes the concrete ready for epoxy floor coating since all the work is done.
