Two thing made cosmetic surgeries very popular. affordable prices and because they are not a taboo they used to be. Some 20 years ago, it was a lot harder to get any kind of plastic operation because the price was high and only people with a lot of money could afford them. Celebrities and all other public figures were in position to use these procedures and spread the good word about them. And since a lot of these people used plastic and cosmetic surgery, they became less of a taboo for all of us. A lot of young people want to change how they look and want it fast, while there are more than enough doctors who are willing to work for the money. I think none of us wants to see young teenagers who are not mature yet using their bodies in such a way. The situation will probably go to more extreme levels since these procedures are easily affordable now and there is no law against the wide use of cosmetic surgeries. We will have to wait a bit more to see what kind of dangers will this bring us in the future.
